A dAuction sold online advertising space to the highest bidder, and they needed a superhero, who was friendly yet nerdy to help explain the bidding process. Thus, ProxyMan was born.
Created in 1997 for BidnAsk.com, the "Bidding Brainiac" shown above was another agent developed to help users navigate a complex bidding process.
